Why Iguake?

Iguaque is a lake which was considered a sacred place for the Muisca culture. According to the legend, mankind was originated in the Iguaque lake, when the goddess Bachué came out from the lake with a boy in her arms. She taught mankind to weave, build, knead the clay, cultivate and work the metals.

After she accomplished the goal, she became a snake and returned to the sacred lake Iguaque.

This legend inspired us to name our coffee and create a brand with a social purpose. Iguake is a tribute to our culture and colombian tradition.
